2026-11-04 –, Lightning Stage
A wallet address should be treated like a 3p cookie on the Web. It can and will be used to track a user.
In this lightning talk I’ll give a quick overview of what 3p cookies are on the Web. Then I’ll describe how the ways in which our wallets share address with sites is a dangerous pattern that allows users to be tracked not unlike how users were tracked by thirst party cookies. Wallets and dapps should be moving away from this pattern rather than ossifying the behavior further.
