Glamsterdam for App Developers: What Ethereum's Next Fork Changes for You
2026-11-04 –, Lotus Stage 2

A practical walkthrough of what Glamsterdam changes for people building apps on Ethereum. You'll leave knowing how the upgrade impacts you, which assumptions to retire, and what to test before the fork ships.

Glamsterdam is not just a generic protocol-level upgrade: it changes what app developers can build and what can break. This talk focuses on the application-layer impact. We cover the 64 KiB contract size limit (up from 24 KiB) and what it means for libraries and diamond proxies, deeper stack access (DUPN/SWAPN/EXCHANGE) that removes most "stack too deep" errors, EIP-7708 logs for every ETH transfer that make ETH indexable via eth_getLogs, the new SLOTNUM opcode, gas repricing (state-creation costs, cheaper no-value calls), a higher gas limit floor, and the CREATE2 factory becoming required chain state. For each change: before, after, and the catches (e.g. higher deploy costs, log edge cases). Attendees get a concrete checklist for contracts, indexers and tooling.
