This talk would be a presentation and discussion about the Kohaku project. People would see a demonstration of the features on mainnet (using Ambire Wallet) followed by a little explanation on the security / privacy gains.
We will explain and demonstrate how lightclients reduce the trust surface inside a wallet. We will explain and show how embedding the privacy protocols inside a wallet can bring significant privacy gains without requiring expertise from the users.
We expect to be able to showcase most of the important features (Tornado Cash, Railgun, Privacy pool, Lightclient, Post quantum accounts and hardware wallet security clear signing done correctly). And some less visual improvement (eg. fetching prices and logos in a decentralised way so you don't leak the token that you are touching to third parties)
Nicolas Consigny is a researcher at the Ethereum Foundation working on wallets, privacy protocols and post-quantum cryptography. His current work spans SPHINCS-, a family of EVM-optimized hash-based signature variants, for PQ smart accounts. He leads Kohaku, a privacy-focused wallet initiative and research in the competition for leanSPHINCS the post quantum signature of the future lean Ethereum
Vitalik Buterin is the creator of Ethereum. After discovering blockchain technology and exploring its potential in 2011, he co-founded Bitcoin Magazine. In 2013, Vitalik wrote the Ethereum whitepaper, outlining a vision of a generalized framework for hosting decentralized applications and contracts. Today, he serves as a board member and continues his work as a researcher with the Ethereum Foundation.
