This talk presents a relational architecture for AI agents built around communication currencies: transferable currencies that enable breadth, and stake that adds depth by preserving the commitments and informational differences behind communication. Attendees will leave with a new way to think about scalable agent cooperation—how to expand the breadth and depth of cooperation without collapsing distinct communities into a single surveilled information pool.
The Hugging Face breach exposes a risk-management challenge that AI agents make increasingly urgent: how can open systems support broad communication and cooperation without allowing low-context interactions to cascade into high-consequence access—or making surveillance the price of coordination? This talk introduces communication currencies—a relational architecture modeled on human communication—whose useful frictions preserve the differences on which cooperation depends, even as it scales.
