Securing Ethereum in the age of AI: Challenges & Opportunities
Ethereum projects spend millions securing their own protocols, and almost nothing on shared security. The coordination costs to build shared security infrastructure are tiny compared to the benefits and cost savings that could be had. Griff Green (TheDAO Security Fund) and Josselin Feist (Aave) explore how ecosystem-wide coordination can help overcome this Tragedy of the Ethereum Security Commons.
Most blockchain security failures do not originate from unknown bugs, but from risks that were already understood and accepted. This talk explores why security is shaped as much by product, organizational, and engineering decisions as by code, and provides a framework for reasoning about those decisions as systems evolve.
